Spring has sprung early in Antigonish this year. We’ve had record-breaking high temperatures and no snow – quite a change from our usual 6 foot snowbanks that we can’t imagine giving way to green fields and lush gardens. Son in keeping with this early arrival, we have decided to hold our Seconds Sale early this year as well.
As I write this, we have survived our first ‘wave’ of excited shoppers who
arrived on our doorstep promptly at 7 pm and were all gone by 8! These are our intrepid customers who are hunting for bargains and were not disappointed. We were low on the Blue/Albany carved design and the Oatmeal this year. I guess it’s one of the signs that we’re doing something right! But all the troubles we experienced with our Brushed Blue glaze this year made for some great shopping for many people.
It’s always fun to talk to customers and hear what they have been up to in the past few months. One of our loyal supporters came from Halifax for our sale this evening. They have relocated from Antigonish and yet still managed to be here for that opening hour. Quite a compliment.
So we still have 2 more 
days to go and I’m sure we will see many people back that didn’t like the crowd and would prefer a slightly more relaxed shopping experience. Plus there are those who prefer to wait until the last minute. Whatever time they choose – we are always eager to greet our loyal customers and meet new ones as well. It’s a great way to spring into a new year. Hope we see you here too!
